How about the Leicester Philharmonic choir ?
Leicester Philharmonic Choir (the 'Phil') was founded in 1886 & is the largest choir in Leicestershire.
With over 100 members it is considered one of the foremost choirs in the UK.
Our Patron, Karl Jenkins has said of the choir: "They are an excellent
choir, absolutely first class & it's always a pleasure to be involved
with them".
Karl has conducted us on several occasions in
première performances of his own works,
including 2 performances of
The Armed Man.
Because of our excellent reputation we have been invited to perform with
the Philharmonia Orchestra & the London Mozart Players on several
occasions. Other
top-quality orchestras & famous conductors return frequently as guests of
the choir.
We
also receive invitations to perform at other venues. These have included
appearances at the Royal Albert Hall in the Proms, Symphony Hall, Birmingham & other invitation
concerts in the UK. Next concert Sat 12 May.
